{"id":1548,"date":"2012-11-06T09:14:08","date_gmt":"2012-11-06T09:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sethandberkley.com\/?p=1548"},"modified":"2012-11-17T10:29:00","modified_gmt":"2012-11-17T10:29:00","slug":"island-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sethandberkley.com\/?p=1548","title":{"rendered":"Island Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We woke up in Ranong, ate some breakfast, then made our way to the dock to catch a boat to Ko Phayam. \u00a0We had the option of taking the slow boat which could take two to three hours, or a speed boat that would take between 35 and 45 minutes. \u00a0The choice was obvious. \u00a0So we sped off through the waters of the Adaman Sea to the tiny island of Ko Phayam. \u00a0At the dock we caught a motorbike taxi to our hotel. \u00a0There are no cars on the island, only bikes and scooters. \u00a0Our bungalow is a super cute freestanding structure with a room and a partially outdoor bathroom. \u00a0It&#8217;s pretty sweet, and we&#8217;re steps away from the water.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Thailand_0003.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sethandberkley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Thailand_00031.jpg\" alt=\"Thailand 0003\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Thailand_0047.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sethandberkley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Thailand_0047.jpg\" alt=\"Thailand 0047\" width=\"500\" height=\"666\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We took a walk back to the little village to grab a delicious lunch of spicy noodles and thai tea. \u00a0We then rented a scooter to scoot around the island. \u00a0It&#8217;s quite small, and takes less than a half an hour to cross it most ways. \u00a0It&#8217;s going to be a few days of lazing around a small island, wading in warm ocean water&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"Thailand_0054.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sethandberkley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Thailand_0054.jpg\" alt=\"Thailand 0054\" width=\"500\" height=\"666\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block;
