margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"ZanzibarSunset.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sethandberkley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/ZanzibarSunset.jpg\" alt=\"zanzibar Sunset\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We made it to Stone Town in Zanzibar and to our hotel. \u00a0Though it is an island, Stone Town has the least island vibe Seth or I have ever been to. \u00a0It feels like a busy, dirty city. \u00a0Though our hotel was pretty, they caused us more problems than it was worth. \u00a0When we did our laundry they burnt a hole in my shirt, they charged us more for our second night without notifying us, and they didn&#8217;t follow through with helping us out with a transfer to the north of the island. \u00a0Zenji Hotel in Stone Town sucks. \u00a0Don&#8217;t give them your money.<\/p>\n<p>The spice tour was nice. \u00a0We roamed through a plantation and were able to smell and taste a variety of local spices such as lemon grass and cinnamon, but the spice Zanzibar is known for is clove. \u00a0The clove flower had a very sweet, spicy smell. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"tumeric.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sethandberkley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/tumeric.jpg\" alt=\"Zanzibar Tumeric\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"ZanzibarLipstick.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sethandberkley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/ZanzibarLipstick.jpg\" alt=\"Zanzibar Lipstick Plant\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We then made our way to the north of the island. \u00a0As I mentioned before, the hotel guy did not follow through with getting us a good price on a ride to compensate for the damaged shirt. \u00a040 dollars is way too much for the ride. \u00a0After being swindled a few times trying to find a ride, we finally managed to get a ride to the north for a reasonable price.<\/p>\n<p>But, apparently there are two hotels with very similar names. \u00a0We were taken to the Baraka Beach Bungalows while we needed to go to the Baraka Aquarium Bungalows. \u00a0Hmm\u2026 So we had a delicious lunch of lobster coconut curry before heading to our actual hotel. \u00a0The place is fine, but it wasn&#8217;t quite as nice as the hotel we were initially dropped off at. \u00a0But the Aquarium Bungalows will do. \u00a0And it was clean and did have hot water, so\u2026 How can I complain. \u00a0Once we made our way down the beach I felt better. \u00a0This is my first white sand beach. \u00a0It&#8217;s quite beautiful. \u00a0The fine white sand \u00a0makes the water glow a bright turquoise. \u00a0It&#8217;s really quite lovely.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block;
